Final Before-Leaving-Home Checklist

‚       Charge your phone, mobility equipment and other essential devices before travel, following the manufacturer’s charging instructions.

‚       Keep backup copies of important travel documents in more than one place, such as one accessible offline copy and one secure cloud or secondary backup.

‚       Take clear photos of your wheelchair, power-assist device and other important mobility equipment before travel, including any existing marks or damage, so you have a record of its condition before handover.

‚      Save important airline assistance, battery approval and mobility-equipment emails so you can access them offline if needed.

‚       Lay out your clothes, wheelchair equipment, medical supplies and air-travel essentials in separate groups so you can check everything before packing.

‚       Confirm your planned airport arrival time and allow extra time for check-in, assistance, security and mobility-equipment handling

‚       Do a final comfort and skin check, and make sure any essential medication or personal-care supplies you may need during the journey are easy to access in your carry-on luggage.
